The week ahead 23rd March 2025

Dear Glebe Families,       

It has been lovely to have a flavour of Spring this week.  Sunshine and warmth makes all the difference!

We had a really successful week for our Y6 children, on their 3-day residential trip or 3-day activity week.  Our Y6 children had incredible experiences and grew in confidence as part of their preparation to be secondary school ready.  I had the pleasure of spending a whole day with them and I felt so proud of them.  My thanks to all the staff involved in enabling the experiences - it goes above and beyond the call of duty going on a residential trip and we really appreciate them!

We heard your feedback on doing more with personal development and are looking to present a new plan for our school over the next term.  Watch this space!

FIVE REMINDERS FOR THE WEEK AHEAD:        

1. PARKING REMINDER

Please be mindful of our neighbours when parking outside of their homes, whilst picking up your children.  Please stop turning your cars in the yellow zone outside of school – it is dangerous, we had a near miss this week.  If you do not do the pick up/ drop off, please speak to whoever does so they are aware of the danger.

2. TERM DATES AND TIMES

A reminder that school finishes at 2.00pm on FRIDAY 4TH APRIL and is then CLOSED for the Easter break.
CHILDREN return to school on WEDNESDAY 23RD APRIL from 8.35am

3. MOVING TO ARBOR
We are moving to a new school information management system called ARBOR. 

This will become our one-stop-shop for families:
- checking your child's attendance

- all communications

- sending an electronic version of reports

- booking clubs

- giving permissions

- changing details

- applying for a place in the school

- taking payments

- book parent meetings

We will be rolling it out through the Summer Term.  It will be on an app.

Nothing to do for now and nothing changing yet - we will keep you posted!

OTHER: EID Confirmation – Absence Notification

1. Learning/behaviour queries to class teachers  
2. Email office@glebe.harrow.sch.uk if anything needs more support, and they will direct it to the right person  
3. Please do not approach each other or children if there is a concern – speak to Glebe staff first
