The week ahead 1st March 2026

Dear Glebe Families,

Welcome to March and welcome to Spring! We love the ACTION FOR HAPPINESS calendars!  Here is MINDFUL MARCH of little things you can do each day to look after your mind and wellbeing:

FIVE REMINDERS FOR THE WEEK AHEAD:

1. WORLD BOOK DAY THURSDAY 5TH MARCH

This week hosts World Book Day on THURSDAY!    If you need help with a World Book Day outfit, let Miss Esmond know and we can help – just email office@glebe.harrow.sch.uk  Our staff will be down in the playground to collect the children and there are opportunities for photos of our children all dressed up!  Look out for the senior leaders dressed in an “Alice In Wonderland” theme!!!!!

2. IFTAR EVENING WEDNESDAY 11TH MARCH 5.30-7pm

Thanks for the responses!  We will send a PING to those who have expressed an interest to confirm meal preference and how many places you would like to have.  You are more than welcome to bring all your family/ friends.  Let us know on the PING and we will set the total to be paid online via ARBOR.

3. CLASS DOJO STORY

Lots more of you have joined in online!  These are the current percentages of family using it.  We want 100% from every class so you can see your child’s positive points and also see snippets of their school day.  If you can’t find the link in PING, email office@glebe.harrow.sch.uk now!

LUCY "The Space” Family Support Idea for the Week:

What are your biggest strengths as a parent?

If someone observed you as a parent, what would they admire if they could watch your best moments with your child(ren)? Make a list of all the things you are most proud of- even if they seem small and simple. Also include those not-so-great moments that you have been able to notice and turn around.

Now let’s build on those strengths…

Read through your list and give yourself credit and appreciation for all your hard work. Now think of what it is that helps you be your personal best as a parent: what support could help you be that parent more often and how can you give this support to yourself every day? Next, notice when you act in a way with your child that makes you feel good about yourself and do a little celebratory dance, or give yourself a high five! Appreciating yourself will help you be your best self more often and will also help you enjoy parenting even more.

Sometimes we could all do with someone to talk to.

If you would like to meet Lucy Cohen for a confidential and non-judgemental chat about you, your child, or any other worries, they are available on Tuesdays from 9-10am.

You can call/text 07469705850 or email lucy@schoolscounsellingpartnership.co.uk
