The Week Ahead 8th December 2024

We have had a great week in school with lots of learning and fun, mixed with Christmas magic! FIVE REMINDERS FOR THE WEEK AHEAD:

1. PHONE LINES ARE BACK ON!
After much frustration, our phonelines will be fully functioning from Monday! You can call the school on 02082046564 between 8.15am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. Thank you for your patience with this!

2. SPRING 1 BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS
Mr Sankey’s PING has gone out to allow parents/carers to sign up for our Spring 1 Clubs! Please have a look and sign up by 9am Thursday so we can send out confirmations before the end of term. Our new Spring 1 clubs start from Tuesday 7th January (school is closed to children on Monday 6th January)

3. FAMILY SUPPORT
Mrs Esmond is here for all our Glebe parents/carers. If you are looking for support, ideas or signposting to services available for families, she is always available for you. Attached to this week’s PING are two great workshops for Glebe families to attend. Have a look at the attachments and if you have any questions, Mrs Esmond is always in the playground at drop-off and pick-up!

THU: Y2 WOW Day Great Fire of London; Y4 Swimming; Mr Remon Jazz band; Y1-Y6 Bollywood Club performance after school

FRI: Y2 Cooking

Week ahead weather:
After a stormy weekend again, this week will be drier, calmer, cooler and brighter! Perfect for a Christmas Fair on WEDNESDAY!

LUCY "The Space” Family Support Idea for the Week:
Dinner: Nurturing Family Connection
Often, dinner can feel like such a chore, even a mission, that you just want to get through. However, studies show that having dinner together as a family is a top predictor for how well children will do in school and as teenagers. The ritual of sharing food with those we love offers children the security of belonging, being nurtured and a space to talk and share. Switch off the TV and all devices- including your own phones!

On the horizon...
Nursery and Reception families – our EYFS concert is on 19th December! Also remember term ends for everyone at 2pm on 20th December!
