Sunday 19 May 2024 The Week Ahead 19th May 2024 Dear Glebe Families, I hope you have had a great weekend. Our Y6s performed the best they could last week in SATS, and now we await the results later in July. Thanks for your support and well done to our Y6 children and our staff, we are proud of you #goglebe. We are gearing up for a busy last week of this half term. Lots going on for our children so please take note of the reminders below! FIVE REMINDERS FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: 1. Calendar updates sent via School Ping in the last week, and reminders for this week: • YEAR 6 BOOSTER SESSIONS have now stopped. • MONDAY the Y3 Music Performance is at 9.00am, not in the afternoon; • TUESDAY we welcome Y4 parents/carers at 9am to see their children’s music concert • WEDNESDAY our Y6s go off to the West End to see WICKED the Musical • THURSDAY at 2.45pm is a parent/carer meeting with MAGNA to answer any questions and help you get set up on their website https://magna.childcare-online-booking.co.uk/ ; • THURSDA

Sunday 12 May 2024 The Week Ahead 12th May 2024 Dear Glebe Families, A glorious weekend for warm and sunny weather and seeing the captivating northern lights in the skies of Harrow and across the UK! #gratitude Thanks to the parents who attended Friday’s coffee morning with me, Mrs Patel and Lucy our Counselling Manager (“The Space”) – the parent’s positivity and passion for Glebe to be the best it can be, was inspiring to hear. We chatted about ideas around PE kits and house teams, class names, parents volunteering in school opportunities, and ensuring we communicate a detailed progress report on what we have done since OFSTED and what we are looking at for the 2024-25 academic year. This will form part of the Governor’s Summer Term Newsletter to you. FIVE REMINDERS FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: 1. Your support in stopping SCOOTING AND BIKE RIDING in the playground has been appreciated – please let relatives who do drop-off and pick-up know too, as a few were unaware when we spoke to them last week.

Sunday 5 May 2024 The Week Ahead 5th May 2024 Dear Glebe Families, As much as we all love working at Glebe, there is also something lovely about not having to set the early alarm for Monday morning this week (I hope that applies to you too)! Your feedback was appreciated so these weekly updates shall continue, with our Glebe Gazette being a monthly round-up and those all-important diary dates. A good suggestion was a screenshot of the diary dates each week too, as parents are busy people and little reminders really help, so we shall add them in. I have attached a copy of the Glebe Gazette to this message! FIVE REMINDERS FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: 1. To help with our lunchtime systems for children with packed lunches, from TUESDAY we will have a lunch trolley for each year group by the doors in the playground, so children can put their lunches straight onto the trolley and it is wheeled to the hall ready for them at lunchtime by Mr Mario. At the end of the day, the trolley will be in the playground for children to pick up their lunchboxes

Sunday 28 April 2024 The Week Ahead 28th April 2024 Dear Glebe Families, What a cold, sunny and blustery weekend! I hope you have all found some warmth and enjoyment as we see out this Spring weather! Now I do need to get a formal newsletter out to you all next week - it is on my to-do list! Or do you prefer this weekly School Ping? Let me or any leaders know when you see us in the playground this week (and check in with other parents they have School Ping for us and are checking it!). FIVE REMINDERS FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: 1. A reminder that we are CLOSED on THURSDAY. We are a Polling Station. Please do use your vote and take your child with you when you vote, to model the democracy they will inherit when they are the adults of tomorrow. And don't forget you need to take photo ID to vote - details on the Harrow Council website: https://www.harrow.gov.uk/elections/voter-id-requirement. We will send home learning tasks on Google Classroom by the end of Wednesday for your children to do on Thursday. Thanks for your support in advance. 2
